Which favicon sizes do I need?

A modern website needs 16x16 and 32x32 PNG favicons for browser tabs, a 96x96 PNG for search results and desktop shortcuts, a 180x180 apple-touch-icon for iOS, and 192x192 and 512x512 icons for the web app manifest. The generator produces all of them.
